Not sure why Hotel Simon only has 1 star! It is beautiful, clean, quiet and efficient service Perfectly adequate bathroom, functioning air conditioning etc. 3 tapas bars and the Spanish equivalent of "Betty's" between hotle and cathedral (50m). Didn't have TV or mini bar -which was fine for us! Thank you.

Excellent location near the cathedral, making it easy to explore the area.
Limited selection available at breakfast, which could use improvement.

We liked our room--spacious and its walls decorated with various kinds of tiles. It made the room look charming, romantic and exotic--very Majudar. The toilet is spacious and the beddings were done in romantic design. However, the third bed was placed in the sitting room and the air conditioner was not functioning. In other words, while the two occupants enjoyed the charming bedroom, the third occupant was placed in the sitting room with no aircon amidst worn out furniture in the living room. There is also a very nice courtyard. The hotel is very charming in Moor style which gives the traditional ambiance. The hotel is well located, a few steps away from the Cathedral and the Alcazar and the old town and many other sites. The rates are reasonable for its location
Breakfast was not good and aircon was not functioning in the sitting room where my bed was placed.

the hotel was quiet, clean and very near to the town. It had excellent views of the castle and the town.
We visited the hotel in December and the room was very cold and the heating did not work properly. this combined with tiled floors made being in the room uncomfortable. The rooms need central heating. The bathroom had a leak and water came in to it when it rained. I complained about he hair dryer not working properly, but nothing was done about it. The staff were polite, but off hand and need training on how to smile when interacting with guests. One almost felt we were a bit of a nuisance, interfering with their life of chatting with each other.

It's designed as a big house with guest rooms, feels kinda homey.
The shower was horrible. Also, the air conditioner suddenly refused to turn on on the third night of my stay.

The atmosphere in the hotel, old grandeur.
no tv, but that is not really a complaint.

Hotel Simon offers a unique opportunity to experience the superb comfort and service of a tradtional family owned Sevillian House in a wonderful location. One is treated as an individual as opposed to a number by attentive and pleasant staff, all of whom display the highest degrees of courteousness and assistance. Nothing is too much trouble. This is my fourth visit to the Hotel and I have no hesitation in recommending it as a base for visiting the most beautiful of European cities.
I have absolutely no criticisms of this Hotel

The hotel is very beautiful and the location is good.
No internet service provided. Some corridors to rooms are very narrow, not convenient for moving luggage.
